Welcome to the new look of ABrevik.net!
The whole process has taken quite a bit longer than expected due to some issues with my provider, but it should all working now.
What do you think? Do you like it? If you have any feedback, feel free to leave a comment or send me a message.
So what’s new since last time?

Well, a lot has happened since last time. For one, Wanted: Igor was actually released in January, and is already available in multiple stores across Denmark! (Granted, “multiple” means “Faraos Cigarer and Fantask“, and “Across Denmark” means “In Copenhagen”, but it’s a start. Besides, it sounds more fancy like that!) It’s still hard for me to fully grasp the fact that a game we made is actually being sold in shops! It’s an insane feeling to know that people you’ve never met are buying and playing your game. Our launch party was held in conjunction with SpilBar 18 on February 6th, and we had a great time showing of the game and playing it with everyone! There was a lot of pictures taken, and you can see them all here. If you took some and want to share them with us, just let me know and we’ll be more than happy to accept them.

Nordic Game Jam and Global Game Jam have both come and gone again. NGJ was the first time in quite a while that the Kvasir Games team was able to work together under the same roof. Sadly, we were unable to commit 100% to the jam this time, as we had other responsibilities, so our game didn’t really turn out as well as we had hoped. That being said, we did burn the midnight oil and actually finished on time with a playable game! Additionally, we have every intent on seeing if we can make something worthwhile out of it at some point. (Right now, we are focusing on W:I, as we still have much to do and learn!) I was also very happy to see such a major interest in board games during NGJ this year, and I’m surprised by the quality of the games that came out of it. Having access to a laser cutter and a 3D printer really made a huge impact and if you haven’t checked out the games you should most certainly do so!
For Global Game Jam I made an online turn-based 2-player game where the players have to use their vocabulary to break into the opponents safe. It’s the first time I’ve worked with online multiplayer to that degree, and I must say I’m happy with the result. Of course, there are a few “features” that needs to be ironed out, but for a first self-made playable multiplayer game it worked out quite nicely. Additionally, lately I’ve focused more and more on being able to make my own graphics and this game is no different. Although it’s far from art, I spent quite a large part of the jam making it look better than just colored lines and boxes. Feel free to check it out, but be aware that you need 2 players with a computer each.
I would promise to make posts more often, but knowing my current track record, I’m not sure I’ll be able to. I will, however, try!
Thanks for reading!
